“I knew that treating patients in pain was my calling.”
I was very fortunate to attend a high school in Dallas, Texas that focused on medical education and careers. My tenth grade science teacher encouraged me to apply to medical school. Thanks to her, I was accepted to LSU Medical School at Shreveport after attending Northwest Louisiana University on a Swimming Scholarship.
I remained in Shreveport for my residency training at LSU and eventually returned to Dallas for private practice in Anesthesia. After a few years, I knew that treating patients in pain was my calling and once again, returned to LSU for my fellowship training in interventional pain management.
My objective is to provide my patients with comprehensive pain management care, including evaluating their goals and expectations. This will help patients to understand what they can expect and what I can offer them. Giving the patient a life free from pain is always my goal.
